LSA Welcome

On behalf of the organising committee at the Laryngology Society of Australasia (LSA), we would like to extend a very warm welcome and invite you to attend our upcoming conference - Laryngology Sydney 2023 “Laryngology: What Now, What Next?”. The conference will be held at Luna Park Sydney, NSW, Australia from 10 - 12 November 2023.

The LSA Conference is always a highly anticipated event; a renowned platform for delivering expert content across all areas of laryngology to speech pathologists, ENT specialists, laryngologists and all those specialising in care of the larynx including voice, airway and swallowing.

The conference has continued to grow and attract national and international attention and Laryngology Sydney 2023 will be no exception. This conference will see us partnering with the International Association of Phonosurgery to deliver a world-class scientific program. With four prominent keynote speakers, specialised workshops and expert speakers from around the globe, we are confident we will continue to meet the high standard of previous conferences.

We would also like to thank our industry sponsors who have confirmed their participation for 2023: Silver Sponsors Pentax Medical ANZ and CR Kennedy- Xion and Bronze Sponsors KARL STORZ Endoscopy Australia Pty Ltd and MDSolutions Australasian Pty Ltd.

As the central conference point for all things to do with Laryngology in Australia and New Zealand, we welcome your participation in the conference and highly value your support and attendance at this not-to-be-missed opportunity.

We look forward to seeing you in Sydney!

Danielle Stone and Daniel Novakovic

Co-Conveners, Laryngology Sydney 2023

IAP Welcome

Along with the Board of Directors of the International Association of Phonosurgery (IAP), I am pleased to join with the Laryngology Society of Australasia in welcoming you to the spectacular city of Sydney for our combined meeting.
We are all excited about what I am sure will be an intellectually stimulating and complete educational experience related to the study of the human voice and surgical management. Under the stewardship of the Co-convenors, Daniel Novakovic and Danielle Stone, and the LSA Conference Organising Committee, international representatives of the IAP will combine with our Australian and New Zealand colleagues in an effort to present a contemporary and worldwide approach to laryngology science and care.
The IAP formally meets biennially, either with an international society, or as part of a formal local laryngology and voice meeting, as is the case this year.
With the regional influence of the Laryngology Society of Australasia and the International recognition of the IAP, this meeting is setting up to be one of the finest laryngology meetings, one that will be memorable for many years to come. I so much look forward to seeing you at Laryngology Sydney 2023.

The International Association of Phonosurgery was founded in 1990 with its first meeting in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. The name was later changed from the original “Phonosurgeons” to ‘Phonosurgery” to better represent the multidisciplinary efforts surrounding the surgical management of laryngeal and voice disorders.

The IAP formally meets biennially, either with an international society, or as part of a formal local laryngology and voice meeting, as is the case this year.
