Abstract submissions are now open for the 14th International Spark of Life Conference 2025!

The Australian Resuscitation Council Spark of Life Scientific Committee would like to invite Abstracts for oral and poster presentations for the 14th International Spark of Life Conference 2025. We are asking for Abstracts for the following themes:

  • Resuscitation, first aid or emergency care education 
  • Science  
  • Data or registry information  
  • Practice 
  • Other aspects of resuscitation, first aid or emergency care 
  • New research, particularly where the findings are ready to be discussed

Abstract Submission Important Dates

11:59pm AEDT, Sunday 16 February 2025 – Abstract Submission Deadline 

March 2025 – Notification of Acceptance

Sunday 13 April 2025 – Closure of Standard Registration

Verbal Presentations

Electronic PowerPoint presentations must be provided to the speaker support staff at Pullman Melbourne on the Park. Presentations are required a minimum of 2 hours prior to the commencement of the assigned session. Additional information about the oral presentations will be forwarded to presenters prior to the conference. 

Poster Presentations

All posters will be displayed on poster panels during the conference and will be available for viewing during the breaks. Authors of successful posters should submit their poster to staff at the registration desk upon arrival at the conference. Each presenter will have 5 minutes to present their poster and 5 minutes for questions during lunch breaks. Additional scheduling information about poster presentations during the lunch breaks on event days will be forwarded prior to the conference.  

Cancellations must be notified in writing to sol@surgeons.org. A cancellation fee of 20% of the appropriate registration fee will be charged for cancellations received on or before Sunday 13 April 2025. Please note there will be no refunds after Sunday 13 April 2025. 


In person presentations are mandatory for all accepted abstract submissions, and virtual presentations will not be considered.
