It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Tri-state RACS Annual Scientific Meeting for South Australia, Northern Territory and Western Australia.
2022 will see the 11th year of our Tri-state ASM and I am proud to announce the meeting will be held at the Novotel Barossa Valley Resort in South Australia from 25 - 27 August 2022. I encourage you to join us at the conference for an opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, interact with Fellows, Retired Fellows, Specialist International Medical Graduates, Trainees, and Allied Health professionals who will be in attendance.
This year’s theme: Artificial Intelligence in Surgery - Superpower or Peril? We have an amazing program that will stimulate discussions, showcase new interventions and advances in surgery, encourage deliberations amongst peers, but above all provide a forum for networking, interacting with a combination of face to face and hybrid learning. We are delighted to have a broad cross-section of the surgical specialities represented in the program to contribute to the theme by exploring past, present and future.
Our conference will commence with an official welcome function on Thursday 25 August, at Lou’s Place - Lou Miranda Estate Winery, Barossa Valley. Friday 26 August will see a full day of the scientific program followed by the Annual Dinner, with our Annual Anstey Giles Lecture delivered by Maggie Beer AO. Our dinner will be held at the iconic Barossa Valley’s Seppeltsfield Estate; a memorable experience not to be missed. Saturday will see the second part of the scientific program, to conclude Saturday afternoon.
See you all in the Barossa in August.
